Tallgrass Construction Services, part of the family of businesses owned by the Osage Nation, and the U.S. Army partner to build urban training towers and confined spaces training facilities at Fort Leonard Wood.

“Our interest in partnering with Fort Leonard Wood is essential to who we are as an entity, as representatives of the Osage Nation with core values of tradition, loyalty and honor and prosperity,” said Jim Holder, Executive General Manager.

The $380,000 urban training towers project will assist in training troops to conduct search and rescue operations, working with ropes and executing surprise entries.

The $363,000 confined spaces project will provide training in a maze designed and constructed specifically to simulate difficult-to-maneuver small spaces. Other elements within the confined spaces simulation facility will mimic actual tactical situations using proper equipment and gear.

Tallgrass Construction Services will begin on the projects September 2017 and work until completion sometime in early 2018.
